Alma Vetlényi’s fashion design career and relationship with sustainable fashion are deeply intertwined. She has won several awards in both the national and international sphere, including the award for the best designer of the year on Gombold Újra! competition in 2016. She has been experimenting with new and eco-conscious solutions continuously since then, and now she presents her latest collection made for the season, also created in the spirit of sustainability.
The Metuselah collection was inspired by the permanence and conscious experience of the passage of time. Its primary aim is to raise attention to the importance of individual responsibility for the protection of the wildlife. She draws a correlation between the importance of preserving feminine integrity and beauty and that of preserving our Earth, which she manifests through her pieces.
The silhouettes of the clothes are formed organically on the female body, with unconventional solutions, without generating any sartorial waste. The natural and moderate color palette symbolizes identification with nature. The fabrics of the collection are 100% silk, as well as cotton and linen, the majority of which is also OEKO-TEX certified, which means that it has been verified that they are not harmful to human skin.
