art + design | Zsófi Barabás

Visual arts are the eternal source of inspiration for design. The two fields can subsist separately, too, but why would we ever separate them if they complement each other so well? We would rather further boost the connection and from now on, we will choose an art exhibition currently available and we will let it inspire a design selection.

The latest exhibition of Budapest-based Erika Deák Gallery opened at the end of May online, focusing on the artworks of Zsófi Barabás, one of the most referenced young Hungarian contemporary painters. Visitors can meet organic, biomorph shapes and vibrant colors at the exhibition titled Unfolded Motion. We chose the sources of inspiration for our ‘summer opening’ design bazaar from these fluid and lively artworks.
