BP Shop has done something really cool again: this time illustratorLehel Kovácsdesigned three brand new T-shirt graphics for them in the spirit of “PEACE, LOVE, UNITY”.
We noticed BP Shop’s new capsule collection in the past days, for a good reason. When seeing the dove of peace with a joint in its beak, the crowd with the sign of victory on their flag and the Statue of Liberty raising a giant doobie in its hand, we knew it right away: it has something to do with Lehel Kovács. Of course it was already obvious that the Hungarian clothing brand loves to collaborate with talented artists (including Akkezdetphiai, Akela, ef Zámbó István), so we weren’t surprised to see that in the case of their SS 2020 collection, they chose to work with the illustrator who has already worked for the New York Times, the Guardian and many other international magazines (we also interviewed Lehel earlier – the Ed.).
The slogan „PEACE, LOVE, UNITY” chosen by BP Shop has accompanied the brand all through the year: hippie culture, environmentalism and the visual world of the sixties and the seventies echo on their products. The latest capsule collection features three T-shirts reflecting on the peace-love-unity triangle in an ironic and humorous manner that is so characteristic of Lehel’s works.
The super-limited pieces of the collection are now available in the stores of BP Shop, and you can of course order them through their online store, too.
