This week’s guide features programs that can add some meaning to the long hours spent at home. They pull us out from bingeing on disaster news, they let us develop ourselves or we can help others with them – if only by sewing a couple of masks, with workshop videos, distracting design documentaries, creative works that make us smile or by supporting Hungarian design by purchasing from Hungarian designers. The motto of our week: together we stand!
Digital Design Calendar
Design Museum in London has also moved to the online domain: from April 1, they publish regular content for both children and adults, design gurus and enthusiastic laymen. You can browse through the upcoming events in the Digital Design Calendar uploaded to the website of the institution: the site offers cherry-picking from the archives of previous exhibitions, live talks, studio tours with designers, freely downloadable exhibition miniatures with iconic design objects for children and many other materials. The content is updated continuously, so it might be worth to check in each week!

Creative Quarantine
Life has turned upside down, and maybe now we have a little more time to express our thoughts and feelings through art. Several galleries are curious about the creative responses to the current situation, made behind the closed doors. 1111 welcomes the documentation of projects that respond to the situation resulting from the outbreak so that they can share them on their online platforms. The Hungarian National Gallery also welcomes any works of art created at home that emerge out of the strange combinations of household objects. Let your fantasy run wild, fill Instagram with quarantine creations!
