Get ready for Heti Fortepan

Fortepan teamed up with Capa Center to relaunch their photo series under the title ‘Heti Fortepan’ (Fortepan Weekly). The articles will be posted on the hetifortepan.capacenter.hu website on Friday mornings, starting on September 18.

The Fortepan column was discontinued during the summer, and now it comes back to life under the aegis of Robert Capa Contemporary Photography Center. The series will present the stories coming to life on the photographs submitted to the Fortepan digital photo archive, in richly illustrated articles. The first entry of the blog will invite readers to the glory days of Hungarian footwear manufacturing on September 18, but the audience will also get to see the photos of renowned Polish photographer Zofia Rydet made in Hungary, the travels of a family from Oradea, as well as the photos of Füles, a photographer known from the legendary advertisements of the seventies over the first few weeks.

The blog will be edited by Fortepan editor Miklós Tamási and Capa Center curator István Virágvölgyi, while the articles will be written by Ádám Kolozsi, Zsolt Lukács and Dávid Zubreczki. Fortepan’s photos have been available for anyone free of charge for a decade; from now on, the photo articles will also be available under the Creative Commons license, therefore the Heti Fortepan articles can be shared freely with proper attribution. You can read more about the conditions and method of sharing in the impressum of the blog.
